The trading style of the business is Corporate Finance Associates (CFA). Janette D Winter T/as

 

CFA acts as a broker and is remunerated by a combination of a Broker Fee and/or provider Procuration Fees. CFA is NOT a principal lender or will ever advise in that capacity

 

CFA is registered with the Information Commissioners Office in respect of Data Protection Legislation under Registration number Z8750870. The GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) is a new data protection regulation, bringing greater protection for consumers and giving them more control over how their personal information is collected, stored, shared and used. This was introduced in April 2016 and becomes mandatory from 25th May 2018

Who are we

Corporate Finance Associates are Commercial Finance Brokers based at The Coach House, Rochford, Worcestershire WR15 8SP. We act as a broker/intermediary for our customers. Corporate Finance Associates is a trading style of Janette Winter who only handles funding requests for limited companies and lending not regulated by the FCA

 

How we will use the information about you

Here at Corporate Finance Associates we take your privacy seriously and will use your personal information in a number of ways which will help us;

1. Obtain lender and funder decisions
2. For Fraud Prevention and Anti Money laundering requirements
3. For audit and compliance purposes as required by our Regulator
4. For statistical analysis
5. To obtain credit references and status checks

We may share your information with, and obtain information about you from, credit reference agencies or fraud prevention agencies. If you apply to us for insurance we will pass your details to the insurer. Information you provide may be put onto a register of claims and shared with other insurers to prevent fraudulent claims.

We will not disclose your information to any company outside of those lenders approached in support of your funding enquiry and our Network Principal, Connect IFA Ltd, except to help prevent fraud or if required by law to do so.

What we need

Corporate Finance Associates will be what is known as the Controller and the Processer of the personal data you provide to us. We collect personal data about you which may also include any special types of information or location based information.

 

We also gather

Personal Identification and documentary Proof of Address, Name, Addresses, Date of Birth, National Insurance numbers, HMRC Income and Taxation Documentation, Credit File information, Payslips, Personal and Business Trading Accounts and both Personal and Business Bank Account Statements, together with supporting documentation we are required to hold, for anti money laundering purposes, representing any deposits you are paying in conjunction with the funding facilities being arranged

 

Why we need it

We need to know your basic personal data in order to provide you with an accurate recommendation for your personal circumstances. We will not collect any personal data from you we do not need in order to provide and oversee this service to you.

 

What we do with it

All the personal data we use is controlled by Corporate Finance Associates in the UK, however, for the purposes of IT hosting and maintenance, this information may be located on servers within the European Union. No third parties have access to your personal data unless the law allows them to do so or you have given us the specific authority to share it. We have a Data Protection regime in place to oversee the effective and secure processing of your personal data. More information on this framework can be found on our website.

We may pass your data to lenders or specific loan packagers in order to provide you with offers of products and services suitable to meet your customer requirements

Your data is stored both electronically and/or in a paper based system on our business premises or alternatively on our cloud encrypted server. Our server is based in the UK or the EU

 

How long do we keep it

We are required under to keep your basic personal data, such as Personal Identification and documentary Proof of Address, Name, Addresses, Date of Birth, National Insurance numbers, HMRC Income and Taxation Documentation, Credit File information, Payslips, Personal and Business Trading Accounts and both Personal and Business Bank Account Statements together with supporting documentation we are required to hold for anti money laundering purposes representing any deposits you are paying in conjunction with the funding facilities being arranged, for a minimum of 6 years after which time it will be destroyed or archived securely. The information used for marketing will be kept with us until you notify us that you no longer wish to receive this information.

 

What are your rights?

If at any point you believe retained information is incorrect you can request to see this information and even have it corrected and possibly deleted. Providing you this information is free of charge, but charges may apply for excessive or repeated requests.

If you wish to raise a complaint on how we have handled your personal data, you can contact our Data Protection Officer, David Winter who will investigate the matter.

Where relevant, you have the right to withdraw consent at any time and this means that we cannot process your data provided any further unless consent is once again given by you.
